Innate postpartum care

Tailored Postpartum Care

A postpartum doula is a trained professional who provides physical, emotional, and informational support to families during the postpartum period. Their role is to assist new parents in adjusting to life with a newborn and provide guidance and education on infant care, breastfeeding, and self-care for the mother. Although postpartum doulas can offer support with nights, running errands, and cleaning, my intension is to offer holistic approach as you transition to motherhood. I call upon the forgotten aspects of care still used in “Eastern” societies and cultures drawing upon rest, warmth, bodywork, and community.

  • Bodywork

Integrative bodywork combining Craniosacral therapy, Visceral Manipulation, Manual Therapy + NeuroAffective Touch all in the comfort of your own home. The aim is to support your body with rest and warmth, regulate and integrate your nervous system post delivery, and support bonding with your new baby.

  • Birthing the mother

Sometimes your birth story needs to be witnessed in a loving space. Maybe there are questions for how the process went. These sessions are for new parents to process any aspects of the birth and postpartum experience (dad’s too!). The transformation to Mother is one that deserves a space to be seen and heard. Drawing upon somatics, pre and perinatal support and deep listening.

  • Baby

Babies need bodywork too! The transition to Earthside can be complicated and long and they need extra support grounding into their nervous systems. Craniosacral can support babies from breastfeeding to sleeping.

  • Yoni + Womb

Yoni steams, light womb massages, belly wrapts + sitz baths all custom tailored based on your body and birth. The sooner post delivery this support is offered, the better the longterm recovery.

  • Nutrition

Nutritional support designed around warmth and replenishment for your body after an intense process. Stay hydrated, nourished, + mineralized using the roots of ancestral foods.

  • Ceremony

Closing of the bones, rebirthing, and rites of passage are frequently overlooked in Westernized culture. However, when we prioritize honoring the Mother and embracing this transition, it can lead to a smoother and more fulfilling experience, aligned with our desires and outcomes.
